About the workshop

Join this interactive online workshop to learn how to analyze COMET images and extract actionable multiomic insights using HORIZON™ image analysis software. Through expert instruction and guided, hands‑on exercises, you’ll gain practical skills you can immediately apply in your own research workflows.

This workshop is designed for users who want to confidently translate spatial data into meaningful biological insights all in just a few clicks.

Attendance is free but seats are limited and assigned on a first-come first-serve basis.

  • Introduction to the workshop and the team (15 minutes)
  • Image analysis principles, Dr. Vytautas Navikas, Data Scientist (45 minutes)
  • Break (15 minutes)
  • Hands-on guided image analysis exercise (1 hour 30 minutes)
  • Workshop conclusion (15 minutes)

What You’ll Learn

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Understand core image analysis principles relevant to COMET™ data
  • Navigate the HORIZON™ interface with confidence
  • Perform guided image analysis workflows step by step
  • Translate image‑derived data into interpretable multiomic insights

Required Material (Mandatory for Participation)

HORIZON™ must be installed on a laptop for the hands-on portion of the workshop. Make sure you have access to a computer that meets the requirements below before registering.

  • Operating system: Windows 10 or 11, x64 architecture (Intel or AMD)
  • RAM: 16 GB minimum, 32 GB recommended
  • Free disk space: 10 GB minimum, preferably on SSD
  • OpenGL version 2.0 and above
  • Administrator rights (required during installation)
  • External screen, mouse and keyboard are recommended.
  • All other material for the workshop will be provided for download after the workshop.
