Sequential immunofluorescence on LabSat®
The potential of spatial biology leveraged by multiplexed imaging
Immuno-oncology, neuroscience, and infectious diseases are some of the research fields that strongly benefit from generating valuable data with spatial biology: the identification of molecular and cellular interactions in tissues beyond simple cellular phenotypes will significantly help the understanding of complex disease pathology.
Multiplexed imaging enables the analysis of the whole tissue microenvironment: the single cell resolution combined with spatial localization reconciles the information of cellular relationships and organization within the same morphological context. Prediction of clinical outcomes, such as adverse effects or patient responsiveness to therapies, improved phenotype understanding and more accurate prognoses, are part of the great advantages that this technology can bring to translational and clinical research.
