Lunaphore attends the LabQuality Days meeting
Date
Last week, we attended the LabQuality Days in Helsinki. Our Head of Application Development, Dr. Saska Brajkovic, presented our microfluidic technology and how it can be used on Frozen Sections
In our presentation on “Frozen Tissue: A new Experience with Fast Fluid Exchange Technology” we described our newly-developed automated delivery system based on a Microfluidic Tissue Processor (MTP), that allows for a fast and accurate IHC analysis of fixed tissue sections.
We focused as well on its specific applications for Frozen Sections (FS): So far, routine intraoperative IHC on FS is not performed due to the short timeframe required. The MTP technology has shown to greatly decrease IHC turnaround times (10-15min) and its adoption in the field of surgical pathology can bring substantial improvement in decision-making during surgical procedures as well as in early diagnosis and treatment.
