Lunaphore and PerkinElmer Collaborate to Develop Staining and Analysis Solutions for Tumor Samples.

Lausanne, Switzerland, March 20^th 2018 – Lunaphore Technologies SA, a Swiss company developing automation systems for next-generation tissue diagnostics, has entered into a collaboration with PerkinElmer, Inc. Lunaphore is proud to announce the closing of a largely oversubscribed CHF 6 million financing round. The new investors are Zühlke Ventures, Polytech-Ecosystem Ventures and Occident Group, along with private investors. Existing investors, including Redalpine Venture Partners, contributed significantly. The funds pave the way for market access.

Every year, a list of the TOP100 most promising startups is released. This year again, Lunaphore is part of the TOP10, ranking at place 9!

To designate the TOP100 on the list, a jury composed of 100 experts in the field selected the most attractive startups among all Swiss companies under 5 years old.

The event took place at the NZZ-offset in Zürich-Schlieren, with more than 700 invited guests filling up the room. Ata Tuna Ciftlik presented Lunaphore on stage.

The TOP100 list is published in PME Magazine (French) and Handelszeitung (German).

From September 2nd to 6th, Lunaphore attended the European Pathology Congress in Amsterdam, showing for the first time the demonstrator of the new product to a large audience.

Lunaphore held a booth and presented a poster with the latest results on frozen section staining data.

From June 26th to July 4th, a selection of entrepreneurs, among which our CEO was part of, traveled around China for a very intense business roadshow. The Venture Leaders traveled to Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, pitching at various events, as well as meeting local entrepreneurs and investors.

In Dalian, the entrepreneurs attended the World Economic Forum and pitched at the Swiss Incubator Event, at which Lunaphore won the first place, after being selected by a jury composed of André Kudelski (Kudelski Group), Olivier M. Schwab (WEF), Margaret Jack (Adecco Group China).

The Venture Leaders China was co-organized by Venturelab and Swissnex China.

The 24th MedTech Investing Europe Conference gathered successful investors and healthcare industry specialists from all over Europe.

Lunaphore, selected in the list of promising companies, presented the business to the audience.

Lunaphore has been selected to join the Scale-Up Vaud initiative, shortlisting the most innovative and highest growing companies.

To date, the 14 companies part of the selection account for 899 total jobs, with 140 created in 2016, reflecting a annual job growth of more than 20%. Lunaphore is proud to join the Scale-Ups as the youngest high-growth company.
